Chicago Grant Applications
Supporting Chicago-based nonprofits building practical, measurable, long-term community impact.
The Cahalin Family Foundation is beginning a new chapter of philanthropic partnership focused on supporting nonprofit organizations serving Chicago communities.
Why Grants?
Historically, much of the family’s work has centered around directly building and operating mission-driven organizations.
As those initiatives mature, CFF is expanding into more traditional grantmaking while maintaining the same long-term, hands-on philosophy toward impact.

Our Philosophy
CFF believes meaningful philanthropy goes beyond transactional grantmaking.
We value organizations deeply connected to the communities they serve and leaders willing to take thoughtful, long-term approaches toward measurable impact.
In some cases, support may extend beyond financial grants and include strategic introductions, operational collaboration, visibility support, or long-term partnership.
